Moth Trap Information – Find it here!

Moth Trap Info started with a hungry cardinal

A simple bag of black oil sunflower seed in an inexpensive feeder for a bright red cardinal that looked hungry. I stored the black oil in the bottom of my cupboard pantry and enjoyed watching the flight in my yard.

Pantry Moths flying inside

Little did I know the sunflower seeds also came with moth larvae just waiting to grow into adults and explode the population of pantry moths to the point where I was watching flight IN my house! Something had to be done!

Moth traps are not all equal

After I identified the moth as indian meal moths, I headed off to the local big box to buy moth traps (home depot or lowes I don’t remember which). I brought home some expensive moth traps, set them in the cupboard and waited for my moth infestation to go away. and waited… and waited..

Maybe the moth traps were too old, or because the moth pheromone traps came in UNSEALED cardboard box; either way they caught a handful of moths out of hundreds. So I needed a better solution for moth control.

Time to search the web.. “Moth traps where to buy”

I started with this search for moth traps, and figured that there would at least be moth trap reviews on the websites. The moth trap reviews helped, and I bought some additional traps that were eco friendly (the moth trap packaging was also used as part of the moth trap). But again the moths kept on making more moths. My traps didn’t make a difference.

The end of the moth trap saga

It took a while but I finally found catchmaster moth traps, and they worked much better than anything else I tried. But I was still irritated that it took 3 months to try and find a moth trap that really worked.

So to save other consumers months of looking, I’ve created moth-trap info.com with the hope that someone reading this, is saved month of searching for the perfect moth trap.
